Sport participation is so important for the health and development of our Tamariki, and winter illnesses are typically easy enough to manage. Covid infection is a little different, so making sure your tamariki are well and that their progression back to sport is gradual is really important. Dr Mel Parnell spoke with Irene Van Dyk and Jenny-May Clarkson on Breakfast this morning, to discuss this topic and explain the need to gradually increase exercise intensity and duration over at least 3 weeks before heading back to competition.
