COVID-19 Alert Level 4 - Is my appointment cancelled?? NO!!

Today is Day 1 of Level 4 lockdown. I hope you are well and have a good plan to maintain your physical and mental health and wellbeing. Here is an update regarding medical consultations during this time:
I will be continuing to 'see' patients via Tele Health during lockdown. For those with an appointment scheduled, Lauren will be in contact with you to confirm these details. We will be connecting via your home, using a laptop, tablet or mobile with camera access, so we can both see each other. Where this is unavailable, we may connect via phone without the video connection. There will be, of course, limitations and some difficulties we will need to navigate. In some cases, we may need to reschedule our appointment once the Level 4 restrictions have been lifted.
I will continue to receive new referrals as usual. During this time I am wanting to assist our GP service as best possible. I would be very happy to manage new injuries they would otherwise manage themselves or refer to physiotherapy. You will still need to see your GP to fill out ACC paperwork and obtain a referral letter prior to a consultation with me. Lauren, my practice manager, is able to access voicemail messages, receive calls and emails as per normal, and can schedule appointments directly with you.
